This summer course is designed for students (or graduates) of composition and composers specifically interested in composition for percussion ínstruments and percussion players. The course is open to students of conservatories and music academies, as well as mature high-school students and interested members of the public. Find us here Date: July 2 – July 9 2023
Place: Music Centre Haus Urban Trstěnice (near the cities Litomyšl and Svitavy), Czech Republic
Course Fee: 280 Euro / (special discount for participants from the CEEC countries)
(incl: accommodations, all meals from dinner July 3 to breakfast July 10 and course fee)
to be paid on the spot during course registration.


The purpose of the course is:
for performers: / for composers: - improvement of solo and ensemble skills under the guidance of renowned instructors - greater theoretical and practical knowledge of world percussion literature
- untraditional instruments, performance techniques, questions of interpretation, and notational and compositional problems
- practical group-work with composers and instructors of percussion and composition
- individual concert performance for all participants
Each participant must prepare a solo performance, maximum length 10 minutes,
to be chosen from 20th century literature.
